Effective March 31, 2007, after co-founding en technologies in 2000 with long-time partner and COO Terence Goodwin, Salvatore Patalano decided to accept a structured buyout offer of his interest in the system integration company. As an IBM Premier Business Partner, en technologies is widely recognized as one of IBM’s top cross-brand system integrators and software resellers. The terms of the buyout have not been disclosed.

en technologies announced its pending merger with Phoenix-based ICI Solutions, Inc., a leading FileNet integrator, last November. The merger is expected to be completed early in the second quarter and will leverage both companies’ broad experience in the content and workflow space. Patalano played a key role in facilitating and structuring the merger. “Thanks to an outstanding management team, an extraordinary group of dedicated engineers and an extremely supportive Board, we’ve positioned en technologies to take the next step in its evolution,” Patalano said. “We’ve built a substantial operation in six years and this merger not only strengthens our position in the IBM marketplace, it will establish the merged company as the dominant player in several strategic technologies. The company is in good hands and it’s simply time for me to move on to pursue other interests.”

en technologies corporate structure will remain relatively intact with key executives such as COO Terry Goodwin and CFO Mickey Filippucci continuing in their day-to-day roles. Company Chairman and ICI Solutions CEO, Tony White, will assume CEO responsibilities for the soon-to-be merged entity. “Sal’s unique ability to germinate an idea, sell it to the market and then build it into something of value has long been his strong suit,” White said. “We’re terribly disappointed to lose someone of his integrity and experience, but we respect his desire to move on. We wish him all possible success and sincerely hope our paths will cross again someday.”
